Invoering Deense Maut per 2025

Door over te stappen op een kilometerheffing, streeft Denemarken naar een eerlijkere verdeling van de kosten die voortvloeien uit weggebruik, zoals infrastructuurslijtage, verkeersongelukken, geluidsoverlast, luchtvervuiling en verkeerscongestie.

In eerste instantie zal de kilometerheffing alleen van toepassing zijn op vrachtwagens van 12 ton en zwaarder. Vanaf 1 januari 2027 wordt de heffing uitgebreid naar vrachtwagens van 3,5 ton en zwaarder. Bovendien zal de heffing in 2028 worden uitgebreid naar het volledige Deense wegennet, wat neerkomt op ongeveer 75.000 kilometer.

Rekenvoorbeeld

Men verwacht een Maut van € 0,30 per km. Alleen al naar onze Deense agent is het zo'n 180 km snelweg heen en terug, dat betekent extra kosten van € 54 per truck. Dit heeft flinke invloed op de vrachttarieven naar Denemarken, naast de overige stijgingen:

• De kostenontwikkelingen in het grensoverschrijdend wegvervoer volgens het Panteia rapport zijn tussen de 3,6% en 4,6%, exclusief de genoemde Maut verhoging.
• Ook de eerdergenoemde Mobility Package is nog altijd van belang.
• De tolgelden in andere landen als België, Frankrijk, Italië, Polen en Spanje worden ook langzaam verhoogd - maar ook in Nederland.
• Tekort aan chauffeurs en warehouse medewerkers blijkt structureel.

Beijer heeft zelf nauwelijks invloed op sommige (overheids-) zaken. U mag van ons verwachten dat we niets nalaten om zo efficiënt en duurzaam mogelijk onze werkzaamheden te doen.

Denmark Introduces Distance-Based Toll for Trucks Over 12 Tons Starting January 1, 2025

From January 1, 2025, Denmark will introduce a distance-based toll for trucks over 12 tons, calculated based on the distance traveled and CO2 emissions. This toll will replace the current Eurovignette. By switching to a kilometer-based toll, Denmark aims for a fairer distribution of the costs associated with road use, such as infrastructure wear and tear, traffic accidents, noise pollution, air pollution, and congestion.

Initially, the toll will only apply to trucks weighing 12 tons or more. However, from January 1, 2027, the toll will be extended to trucks weighing 3.5 tons and above. Additionally, by 2028, the toll will cover the entire Danish road network, approximately 75,000 kilometers.

Example Calculation

The expected toll rate is €0.30 per km. A round trip to our Danish agent covers approximately 180 km on the highway, resulting in additional costs of €54 per truck. This will significantly impact freight rates to Denmark, in addition to other cost increases:

• The cost developments in cross-border road transport, according to the Panteia report, range between 3.6% and 4.6%, excluding the mentioned toll increase.
• The previously mentioned Mobility Package remains an important factor.
• Toll fees in other countries, such as Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, and Spain, are also gradually increasing – including in the Netherlands.
• The shortage of drivers and warehouse workers continues to be a structural issue.
